RIDE LEADER WORKSHOP

Whose job is it to provide safe recreational rides? If it is your job, or you are in charge of ride leaders, this information is right for you. The Ride Leader Workshop consists of four parts - all free and ready to download - we ask only that you tell us how it worked out. The four parts are: the instructor manual, the slides if you use overheads, the participant workbook and the 24 page Ride Leader Handbook.

BIKE TO WORK : 4-Hour Bike Course

Riding to work is far safer and easier than it used to be thanks to better planning and extra municipal funding. BIKE TO WORK is supported by ICBC whose Road Safety programs benefit all road users.

Riding your bike to work increases your personal fitness, reduces greenhouse emissions and reduces traffic congestion. Every little bit helps, see the GO GREEN website for information and inspiration. The curriculum for BIKE TO WORK is available for free to experienced cyclists. We ask only that you use it wisely and send us course evaluation forms. There is a great need for experienced cyclists to train other cyclists. Your active participation will help more cyclists obtain better skills and make cycling safer for everyone.

Information in this course is based on the CCA CAN-BIKE program and the excellent information collected and published by the Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition in  the booklet 'BikeSense.' Get the booklet in .pdf at www.bikesense.bc.ca
